Raphael Futura has teamed up with Asher Roth for one of the standout tracks from his brand new Riviera album. ‘Trust Me’ is a forward-thinking merging of hip-hop and electronic pop, with a few journeys into undeniable, brass-led funk. Twinkling keys and luscious, harmonised vocals combine to add to the feel-good, sunny vibe of the track. The album from which ‘Trust Me’ is taken is a body of work that has already turned global heads. Futura explains that “I want people to get to know me through this album. This is the first time I have recorded my own voice and been the “artist” and the producer. I have always been behind the scenes, so this is a really new direction for me.” Even while his latest project is so fresh, Futura is gearing up for the next one. -Dan Peeke
